Tobacco Free India Campaign At BHIMAVARAM:





Narain Sewa Sansthan, an NGO in association with Indian Dental Association (IDA) is promoting awareness among the public regarding adverse effects of tobacco has organized Tobacco Free India Campaign 2012. They are travelling nearly 10,000 km by car covering 13 states, educating the students and masses about the ill effects of Tobacco. During this extensive campaign they visited and conducted an awareness camp at Bhimavaram in collaboration with Vishnu Dental College for the students of Polytechnic, Pharmacy and Dental Colleges. During this event more than 350 students actively participated and were educated by way of interactive sessions with CD’s and posters about the effects of Tobacco smoking and chewing by Dr. Sachin Sinha, Dr. Joby Peter, Dr. Durga Prasad of Narain Sewa Sansthan.
Dr. Suresh Sajjan, Principal, Vishnu Dental College inaugurated the program and campus Director Dr. Radhakrishna gave a presidential address. Welcome address was given by Dr. C.R. Ramachandran and a special address was delivered Dr. T. R. Saraswathi. Dr. Ravikanth Manyam governed the anti-tobacco oath to all the participants. Dr. Govindraj Kumar gave the vote of thanks. Dr. Basavaraju and Dr. Prasad of Vishnu College of Pharmacy were also present.
After this the campaign reached Rajahmundry.
